Shane's variety of life experiences give him a unique and eclectic perspective that he brings to everything he does. An ambidextrous creative, he has worked on various brands such as Google, Smirnoff, J&J, Nestle, Schick, Rolex, Lexus, ESPN, Heineken, Dell, Spike TV, Grind, Starbucks and the New York Knicks.
Shane is a graduate of the VCU Brandcenter where he was responsible for leading the creation of the student union - Brandcentral. Designed to enhance the student experience at one of the most intense advertising programs on the planet - Brandcentral serves as a student run organizational tool that highlights life at the Brandcenter. A website created and maintained by the organization showcases some of the projects students are involved with as well as serving as a recruitment tool for the school.
Prior to attending VCU, Shane ran an antique automotive restoration shop that specialized in show quality full restorations of both British and American classics. In his spare time, he found a new use for his skills and applied the art of automotive refinishing to metal sculpture. His work was shown at various exhibitions through the Texas Visual Arts Association.
His recent experience includes year one of co:collective, a story-led innovation collective for the 21st century C-suite in New York where he served as content creator. Wearing many different hats as he helped to get co: off the ground and running, Shane departed co:collective after a year to take an art director position at TAXI NYC.
During his time at TAXI NYC, Shane worked on major national brands including Kraft's MiO Energy and Base, Capital One, Audible.com and Applegate Farms.
After leaving TAXI, Shane took a job at JWT as an ambidextrous creative where he has worked on various accounts as both a writer and an art director, including Outshine, Skinny Cow, Rolex, T Rowe Price, Listerine, J&J FIFA, Services for the Underserved, Ben Gay, Banana Boat, and Zyrtec.
Always on the prowl for new opportunities to make things, he's also working on several personal projects including a short work of fiction tentatively entitled 'Dr. Shutmouth and the Initiation of the Paddle', an awareness campaign for adult adoptee rights, a photography exhibit on social-economic issues and continues to be a guest speaker on WBAI's radio show: Interpersonal Update discussing the state of manhood today. Shane savors good people, good music and good beer, and not necessarily in that order.
